Affirming Mammography Saves Lives

Research shows that due to past negative experiences with healthcare providers, LGBTQ+ people tend to delay regular health screenings, which results in later stage cancer diagnoses and worse outcomes. That’s why we’re training mammography staff across Ohio to provide culturally competent services to LGBTQ+ communities. We’re also creating resources to help LBTQ+ people access and afford routine breast chest screening.
